cultural association
The
Rad'Art Project, run by Artéco association, established in Mercato
Saraceno (FC) - San Romano - in Via Mulino di sopra, aims to create
a permanent center dedicated to international contemporary art research:
visual arts, performing, scenic choreography, video art and sound research.
The
suggestion of the radar instrument that detects and reports the movements
and impulses on the creative territory is the spirit of the project
Rad'Art.
The project will be implemented through the formula of artist residences,
and activation of art and educational workshops.
The program will support residencies on international projects involving
Italian artists, European and Eastern Europe and North America - international
networking activities - interdisciplinary projects / new languages -
Research on the contemporary world - projects that reflect the contamination
of the different forms of expression - the interaction between theory
and practice - the artistic and cultural exchange.
Space
Rad'Art consists of a building of 200 square meters, on two floors which
are planned a studio and guest quarters. It is placed in an area of
3,500 square meters, currently undergoing restructuring and was born
from the will of Anton Roca's Mental Permanent Factory, Catalan origin
artist and resident in Italy for over twenty years.
The construction project involves the recovery of the existing building,
adjusting the energy efficiency criteria in a construction of environmental
sustainability, and is privately funded.
To promote opportunities for encounters between artists and citizenship,
creating moments of confrontation on artistic research, promote the
opportunity of intercultural exchange through the establishment of a
local and international net, are the main objectives of the project,
with a logic that sees in hospitality and exchange, local and international
level, a contemporary art strategy.
The vocation of the center will be to promote research, mainly focused
during the creative process implemented by the artist.
This course provides opportunities to meet and exchange with the public,
which may take part in the implemented process and know the thought
behind the artist's work.
The center is being built in San Romano in Mercato Saraceno (FC), a
little town of Romagna Apennines in Italy, which for its characteristics
of secluded and discreet, set in a natural environment and landscape
value, is ideal for cultural production, mainly organized on:
Artist residences

of contemporary music
Summer Workshops: visual art, photography, music, philosophy, science,
architecture, ...

Projects on the territory
Another aim of the project rad'art, is to pay particular attention to
the needs of the area, enabling collaboration projects with associations
and organizations present. To promote and develop projects both from
an environmental perspective and related to infrastructures and services,
general, but above all cultural.
In this sense, it is already done the recover of the ancient road linking
San Romano and Linaro. The renewed road has been opened on November
